Sean M. Flynn

Registered Principal

Sean is a 1984 graduate of the Boston University School of Management and began his career in the financial services industry in January 1985. After extensive training with the Wall Street firm Dean Witter Reynolds (now Morgan Stanley), Sean became affiliated with his current company, Commonwealth Financial Network®, in September 1991. During his tenure with Commonwealth, Sean has also held the position of president with Century Financial, a division of Century Bank in Medford, Massachusetts. Additionally, from 1996 to 2002, Sean held the position of president with Clippership Financial Services, a division of the Salem Five Bank in Salem, Massachusetts. Sean had the distinction of being named to Bank Investment Marketing (BIM) magazine's "Top 50 Reps of the Year" for 2000, 2001, and 2002*.

In 1999, Sean was presented with the Commonwealth Special Service Award, a recognition "for achievement above and beyond" in one or more of the following areas: excellence in wealth management for clients, a track record of sharing with Commonwealth financial advisors and staff, and a dedication to giving back to the community. This award is presented to only one Commonwealth-affiliated person per year.

For the years 2003 through 2021 and 2023 Sean was recognized as a Chairman's Level advisor—a distinction attained this year by just 3 percent of advisors affiliated with Commonwealth. Additionally, Sean has qualified for Commonwealth's Leaders Conference in each of his 30 years with Commonwealth.

In addition to having the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designation, Sean holds a number of FINRA securities registrations, including Series 3, 7, 24, 53, 63, and 65.

Sean is active in the community and has held a number of board positions with local charities, including the position of treasurer of the Essex National Heritage Commission and treasurer of the "A Better Chance Masconomet" program in Topsfield, Massachusetts.

2000-2002 Top 50 Reps of the Year, created by Bank Investment Marketing (BIM) magazine. The 2002 award was based on data gathered within 12 months preceding the issuing date. BIM solicited nominations from its circulation base of U.S. bank reps (e.g., large, community, regional, and credit unions) over a period of several months. The consideration pool for this award is no longer available, but its readership base in 2001–2002 was about 9,000. Candidates were ranked based on assets under management, production, and number of clients, as well as growth in these three areas. This award is not indicative of the advisor's future performance. Kerri joined Commonwealth Financial Network® in 2004 and values the firm’s commitment to advanced technology and advisor support, which allows her to consistently deliver a high level of personalized service. She takes a holistic, long-term approach to financial planning, with a goal to help clients grow, protect, and manage their wealth while aligning financial strategies with what matters most to them.

As a working mom of a 10-year-old and a 3-year-old, Kerri understands the importance of balance and intentional living. She remains active in her local community and the CFP® professional community, and enjoys staying active through volleyball, strength training, and travel.

Kerri holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance from Gordon College and earned her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification in 2009. She also maintains FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities registrations, as well as a Massachusetts life and health insurance license.

Cassia Shoaf

Cassia joined Commonwealth in September 2018, originally as an intern while pursuing her master’s degree in Finance. Since then, she has grown into a valued full-time team member, bringing both technical expertise and a genuine passion for people to her work. Cassia holds a B.A. in Business Administration and an M.S. in Financial Analysis from Gordon College, where she was actively involved in campus leadership and service.

During her time at Gordon, Cassia served in several leadership roles, including two-time Captain of the dance team, Resident Advisor, Philanthropic Ambassador, and short-term missions trip leader. She also studied abroad at Jerusalem University in Israel—an experience that further shaped her global perspective and love for learning.

Cassia holds the FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 securities registrations, as well as a Massachusetts life insurance license. She is grateful to have been part of the Commonwealth team for over seven years and values the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with both colleagues and clients.

Originally from the greater Hartford, Connecticut area, Cassia now resides just outside of Boston. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her fiancé, family, and friends, traveling, staying active, exploring Nantucket, discovering great movies and restaurants, and continually refining her skills as a self-proclaimed foodie.

Amy Flynn

Office Manager

Amy Flynn is a graduate of Simmons College with a degree in Accounting and has been a licensed CPA for over 30 years. She serves as the Office Manager, bringing strong organizational skills and financial expertise to the team. Outside of work, Amy enjoys spending time with her children and tending to her garden, where she finds both relaxation and inspiration.

Hannah Webb

Originally from Upstate New York, Hannah studied business management and psychology at Canisius University in Buffalo, NY. While earning her degrees, she began her career in retail management, where she developed a strong interest in analytics and reporting. This led her to an analyst role at NBT Bank, where she went on to lead the solar lending team and later oversee the consumer loan operations division as an Assistant Vice President.

After relocating to New Hampshire, Hannah joined Commonwealth as an Office Manager, where she soon earned her FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65 registrations. Hannah holds insurance producer licenses for life, accident and health, and variable life and variable annuity products, and is a commissioned New Hampshire Notary Public.

In her role, Hannah supports advisors, coordinates operational needs, and assists clients with ongoing service. She values the collaborative and efficient environment within her office and enjoys working closely with both clients and advisors to deliver a seamless experience.

Hannah lives in Seacoast New Hampshire area with her husband, Cole, and their golden retriever, Bailey. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling—whether that’s attending concerts, exploring New England, or checking off national parks and MLB ballparks from her bucket list.

 

Tom Flynn, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®

Tom joined Commonwealth in 2025 as a Financial Advisor. He brings prior experience from the asset management side of the financial services industry at Putnam Investments, as well as experience working within a Registered Independent Advisor office. Tom’s background provides a strong analytical foundation and a deep understanding of investment strategies and portfolio construction.

Tom earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Emmanuel College, which informs his client-centered approach to financial planning and advice. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and is committed to helping clients make informed, confident financial decisions aligned with their long-term goals.

Tom is a registered representative of Commonwealth and holds the following licenses: SIE, Series 7, Series 63, Series 65, and Life and Health Insurance.

Outside of work, Tom lives in Beverly, Massachusetts with his wife, Amelia. In his free time, he enjoys watching movies and reading.
